Extra H16 HIDs

Has anyone ever made spot/flood lights out of HIDs with new housings? I'm kind of thinking KC style lights with HIDs in them. Would this be possible? Just not sure how to go about doing this.

I would think that as long as you have the right size bulb it wouldn't be a problem. Only concern is the hid's get hot and it may melt the housing
