Hi all, I don't know anything about engines but have enough intelligence to notice things that dont seem right. I have a '95 4runner with the 3.0L V6 RWD engine in it. I have had a friend do some work on it among other shops in the past.
After my friend finished replacing my timing belt, a pump and my radiator we noticed an extra vacuum line on the throttle body that did not have a hose or cap on it. I can't see where it is on the diagram and don't know where it is supposed to go. Does anyone know what I should do with it? See red circle below.
In addition to that I had some issues with my idle rpm dropping to 500-700 causing the engine to shudder, after the engine has warmed up. I have a sensor next to the throttle line that looks like it is missing a cap or attachment. It is connected to a rod that gets very hot and is on the other end of a rod that I assume adjusts as a backstop for the spring/throttle wire.

Am I missing any pieces here or is there something I can adjust to fix the idle issue?
