do these require that the factory studs be shortened for the hub to seat fully?

I would think so but may depend on your wheels. Seems like I remember seeing pockets in the back of my split 3 spokes that the studs could fit in without obstructing the wheel mounting surface. I cant say for sure though.

If they work with Lc wheels I'm going to be in the market in the near future.
