My wife has a 2000 Toyota 4runner and her keyless remote which is factory stopped unlocking the doors, panic button quit, rear window won't roll down but would still lock and chirp/beep. So I bought a new remote and started to program it but it would never go into the programming mode. So I started trouble shooting, no blown fuses in either panel. It will lock and beep but I can reach in through the window rolled down manually pull the lock and open the door and nothing happens no horns lights nothing? I can even insert the key and start it? It always falshed lights and horns honked before? The alarm used to sound when you did this? I've googled and searched everything and been able to come up with nothing? I have the proper programming instructions and tried about 15 times with no success but seeing as how the alarm isn't working properly I think that is why it won't enter the mode? I found the box behind the rear hatch panel and unplugged it and replugged it and still nothing?
