i have a 2006 toyota 4runner and wanted to disarm the lights from coming on and off when unlocking my 4runner, because i have an H.I.D kit installed and the lights coming on and off when unlocking my truck is affecting the H.I.D kit. any suggestions besides installing a relay?

take it to the dealer, have them program the ecu to make the lights stay off when the car is unlock, these settings are dealer program only, u might as well have them program it to turn off after 30 secs when the last door is closed if u have left the lights on.

Lts on & off when locking & unlocking

Running4wrd: My 2007 does the same thing. Headlights stay on for 20 seconds anytime the vehicle is locked and unlocked with the fob. With the direction my car faces when parked, I completely illuminate my neighbors house when I lock and unlock my vehicle when it is dark. I was at the dealer having some things done yesterday. I asked them to disable the lights on/off feature when locking and unlocking the vehicle. The technician and service advisor states that this feature was not one they could customize. If anyone has a fix for this I would love to know it so I can just do it myself somehow. This is my third 4Runner and I dont want or need this feature. Thanks in advance for any help.
