Factory antenna operation

Okay, so I just installed a new Pioneer AVIC-Z130BT into my '02 Limited. I had a Pioneer installed before and whenever I would turn the radio off, say to go through the carwash, the antenna would go down. Now, whenever I turn off the new unit, it no go down! Kind of a pain whenever I take it to the carwash now. Had to line it up on the carwash track, shift into park, turn off the ignition, then use the shift lock to release the shifter and go into neutral! Like I said...PIA! Anyone else had/have the same problem, found a solution? Thanks

You probably wired your harness plug incorrectly. I just installed a a new Kenwood in the '00 last week. My antenna goes up and down just fine. At one point I had wired one wire wrong, when I flipped it I noticed a black line running down one of the wires but I caught it before installation. Go back over your connections.

I also got the "Y" connections for the diversity antenna from Amazon for about $16. It won't help the rise and fall of the antenna but it helps reception!

Well the antenna actually works the way it should: goes up when you turn the ignition on, goes down when you turn it off. I had a Pioneer single din in there before so the main harness didn't get changed. I just want to be able to turn the radio off and it go down like before. Btw, stellar idea with the Y-harness! I've always wondered about that, thanks!!
