The one from the 2005+ Tacoma will fit in the panel to the left of the steering wheel where the side airbag cut off switch is. However, the FJ cruiser one looks nicer because it has the indicator light which the Tacoma's does not.
Personally, I would take the chance and bet on it fitting. That's just me and I take no responsibility if it doesn't.

I went ahead and ordered the parts from 1st Toyota. They are cheaper that most dealers so if it's a loss, oh well...but I figure heck with the switch and harness its about 70 bucks + shipping (no tax). It's still less than a tank of gas

Factory Aux switches

I have 4 of these switches in my 07 Sport. Three for lights and one for the DRL overide.
The part # for a Toyota Tacoma Aux switch that fits perfect in all the dash blanks is #84160-04010 (switch assy/fog).
List cost on these switches are $60.43 each. I was able to get them as a Toyota employee for $31.22 each.
I have to tell you that they are fantastic!!! The look the fuctionality,as well as the illumination is perfect.

I take no responsibility if you break/damage something or hurt yourself. Uneek will 
haha j/k Uneek (Oh Uneek since you already have a switch...I would almost bet that you could swap your taco switch for the fj switch w/o having to do anything other than plug it in...you may want to take a look at that connection to see if you could plug in the switch to your existing harness.)
I finished the installation of the aux switch today. It works great! I installed the PIAA aux lights when I installed the bumper. So the PIAA switch and harness were already connected. Because of this, I was able to splice the Toyota harness directly into my PIAA harness.
Green+Maroon=Red (PIAA)
Red+Blue & Red+Green = White (PIAA)
Black = Black (PIAA)
This is what I used for my setup. Most PIAA's should be the same...but if you try this yourself and make a mistake...I hold no responsibility. Always check your circuits I had a Volt/Ohm meter out verifying all of my connections before tapping into everything.
For the orange backlight connection, I tied into the Center lock switch. The purple wire I tried tapping into the green wire and the brown wire into the green+white wire with the blue taps you see. However the gauge of both the purple and green wires was different and the taps I had weren't an exact fit. Because of this I didn't have a solid connection to the new switch. I ended up having to cut and spice to make the backlight work. I don't have a picture of that, but its just some electrical tape and basic spicing. If you can find a part number for the Toyota taps those would probably work best and wouldn't require any splicing.
You should potentially be able to tie-in to the RSCA switch (for backlighting)...i just tied into the backlight on the switch next to it. But it doesn't really matter so long as there is power.
I originally connected my lights so that they could be turned on w/o the key needing to be in the ignition. I figure I'm not the type to leave the lights on by accident. However, the AC switch does have a relay that prevents it from being used w/o the key turned. You could potentially connect through this circuit so that they key would have to be on in order for the aux lights to be on.
If you don't have a blank there on your runner I suppose you could use a blank in the center console but you may need to run some wiring to lengthen the harness, depending on where you are connecting to. When I was done splicing/rewiring I wrapped the wire in back in the black plastic and cut it to fit. Wire-tied everything and done!
The light is green and the backlight is orange.
There are pics with everything off, w/ backlight only, w/ aux lights and backlight and then with aux lights with the key off.

All jokes aside... Awesome glad it worked out for you. I was pretty sure it would fit as Toyotas in the past shared a lot of parts between different models, especially switches. (Window switches are one, that even many Lexus models have the same ones except they all have backlighting.) I know the Tacoma foglight switch fits in the 4Runner. But that's a much better switch since it has an indicator light.

1st Toyota is actually a dealer. Titus-Will Toyota in Tacoma Washington in fact - that's why their "contact us" page is covered with "Immediately tell our staff you are an internet customer in order to get the internet price."
Rick Hendrick's Toyota dealership in Fayetteville NC also runs a "Toyota part internet site" but they will honor their online prices if you call and tell them you saw it on the net firt but then come in to pick up the part.
http://www.1toyotaparts.com/ is their "online parts store", though it says Hendrick no where on it.
My question is, why do it this way? Offer those same parts locally for that same online price and they'd sell as many I'd think. I know I use their "internet" parts page to save money on every O2 sensor (for my Tundra) that I buy - there's no way I am paying retail when their online division sells them for upwards of 25% off retail all day every day and that same 800 number rings into the local parts department...
