Factory roof rack nylon bolt inserts

So I was adding on the factory rack and broke one of the brackets that the bolts go through to attach the rack to the frame. These things: https://partsouq.com/tesseract/assets/partsimages/Toyota/6318735020.jpg

It broke off inside (I'm guessing directly into the headliner?) so I'll need to replace it. This all started because I couldn't seal off the holes properly and I could hear that it was leaking water. How can I install these dang things properly?! I'm losing my mind, and now with the rain coming I'm really nervous I won't be able to fix this quickly enough.

How can I open up the headliner to get to the lost broken bracket? How should I install the new one? What seals should I use so that water won't come in?

i had to re-tap mine in the rear there should be a write up somewhere here for the headliner. but, for the rear remove truck weather seal, 2 plastic clip headliner, 2 coat hooks, and 2 bolts above rear seat belt . You might be able to just pop out the top clips of the interior quarter panel window panels

Just be careful not to crease headliner it won't go away. you can get new ones or glue and silicone the old ones. the plastic on the new ones just lightly pressure fits them in.
