Fair pricing for 2004 SRT?

Hi all,

I just bought a new 2022 4Runner Limited and I want to sell my old 2004 4Runner SR5.

It has the following, but I assume it doesn't effect the price too much:

• New Sony double din car play/nav/etc
• Dynamat sound deadening
• New JBL speakers (but was never JBL from factory)
• New ceramic tint all the way around
• New tires
• About 190K miles
• Everything seems to be in good working condition

I'm in the Florida area and wanted to list it for sale, and wanted to ask the community what's a good sales price for it? I don't want to leave money on the table so-to-speak.

Something you can do is to go on craigslist in your area and find out what dealers are getting. That would give you a pretty good idea for a starting price.

Cargurus will give you a pretty good market value. You can also see what Carmax or carvana offers are. Usually poor condition things will take away value but newer things won’t add much- ie old tires may take away from value but new tires won’t increase so to speak. Similarly, I wouldn’t add much value to the sound deadening, jbl, tint. A very specific buyer might pay a little more for this, but most people won’t in a 18 year old vehicle - I wouldn’t because it does nothing for me. That’s the general principal behind mods - most buyers won’t value them the way you do

Good luck with your sale. You can certainly list for higher and see if you get any bites if you have lots of time to sit on it and show it etc etc and the slowly come down if getting every dollar out of it is important
