Family trip to NM (White Sands, Ruidosa, and Carlsbad)

First off I want to appologies. This is a duplicate post. I posted in the Southwest club section several days ago and didn't get anything. Thought this might be better visited.

My wife and 7 year old are heading out next weekend to visit White Sands and Ruidosa area. We plan on doing some sledding 7/27, but don't really have much else planned for the 27th or 28th. We will probably do some hiking.

Are members out there from that area? Any good trails for not well armored T4R (mild trails that won't scare the wifey)? Anyone want to meet up and show us around?

There is an awesome bbq place in Cloudcroft NM, called mad jacks that i would highly recommend. Get there earlier in the day because they sell out daily. Cloudcroft is a nice little mountain town that is nicer and more fun to walk around than Ruidoso in my opinion. I've lived in this area for 5 years, shoot me a text and we'll get you everything you're looking for. Possibly a fun little trail in the arroyos with a waterfall at the end if you're interested. 70633nine7six95

I have been studying the Lincoln National Forest area for a long weekend trip for a while now. There are a lot of unimproved roads in that area that are 2wd/ maybe 4x4 friendly that are good for day trips. PM me and I can shoot you some more info if you want.
