I too, will probably be getting a 2014 Trail in the next month or so, but I'll be keeping my 3rd Gen for trail/dog/camp/fishing duties. Congrats!
Um, this better be AFTER you buy a C10.
Dude you know me I can't even decide on a bumper for my rig. But seriously though, the girl needs a new SUV, and by new I mean new not an 85 4Runner. So the only logical choice is a 5th Gen Trail. And I don't know why everyone says they're so big people don't have problems taking a 2nd Gen Taco on the trails. Everyone drools over FJ80s(including me) and those are tanks. But I'm also not going to take my brand new 40k T4R on any hardcore trails. That's why I'm keeping the 3rd Gen! That and because it's the best looking 4Runner to me, and I'd only get rid of it for one of those tank FJ80s!
GF getting tired of the dorsal fin flopping in the wind? No way.
FBI! Should of take yo rims!
You live Hilo side? Never seen your runner before
Thanks!! Don't worry, I'll still drop by every now and thenLike the new ride!
Don't be a stranger in paradise.

Thanks. Yeah I already regret it but I sold it to my friend so it's going to a good homeCongrats on the new ride. You know youre gonna regret getting rid of the other one though, right?
Thanks for sticking up for me friend.Shouldn't there be anothrr post of opinions than thread jacking the op of how everyone likes or dislikes the 4th and 5th gens.
He still got a t4r he's still in the fam, congrats on the new job and new runner man!
just do the speed limit and you'll be good. Haha jkI'll still be seeing you around Duane!.....hopefully not behind me tho lol
No one will buy a 4Runner that is designed with the 1st Gen in mind. The 4th and 5th Gens can still wheel and have decent aftermarket support. If no one buys the 4Runner then they have no reason to make them.
The 5th Gen may have some flaws but you would be hard pressed to find a new vehicle that is very similar to it besides the Xterra which is much more basic (rarely found with leather, rear leaf springs, etc.). Think about it; the Pathfinder, Rodeo, Explorer, Blazer, and Montero Sport have all gone the way of the Dodo bird. The 5th Gen 4Runner still follows the same idea of the SUV's of the 90's and for that I cannot say that I dislike it.
You forgot body on frame!
