So I am new here. I have seen a lot of questions about how to mount aftermarket accessories and DIY. I work in the bulk handling equipment industry and thought I would share some links to help people find parts to help with their build.

The first company we use a lot is a company called McMaster Carr. They are not the cheapest, but they have pretty much anything you need and it typically arrives next day. McMaster-Carr

The second is for a different type of lock washer. They are called Nordlocks and holds up better in instances with vibration and shock. I think this would be good for suspension components or items bolted to a roof rack.

Mcmaster is pretty good but a better place for nuts and bolts is boltdepot.com They have a good selection of metric, as well as JIS metric, and have no minimum quantities.

Mcmaster does technically require you to be commercial too fyi.

lastly, fastenal is great too.

I have never used boltdepot. Thanks for the heads up.

Yea we always use fastenal. Plus fastenal can have some items custom made, which can be handy.

You can be an individual on McMaster...been using them for years as an individual without issue. Best part about McMaster is how fast they ship. Just got another order yesterday from them.

I was the same way, until one day they asked to see my tax ID number. I gave them my work ID and they were happy. Like I said, "technically", but They aren't too good at enforcing I guess.

If anyone is in the boston area, bolt depot allows free pickups too.

I go to my local Elliot's Hardware here in Dallas. They have almost every type of nut and bolt and everything inbetween you could possibly need.
