Fault code p2714 2005 V8 SR5

I read all the general info. Does anyone have experience with this code relative to 2005 V8? I'm getting the hesitation symptom, no gas pedal response for delayed period. I have 209k miles. Just had drain and fill at 206k, it eliminated the 'rumble strips'. Any input is appreciated, thanks.

Thanks for your input, I can rule this out, as I am not applying the brake pedal. This is how we fix things, rule something out or in and narrow our focus. I'm dropping the 4R at the shop on Monday morning, they did my 'drain & fill' and filter replace. Thanks again.

Hi, anyone have the part number for Transmission Pressure Control Solenoid "D"? I'm having the same code and it's the only one my truck is throwing off. Plan is to change the solenoid first and see if it fixes the issue.

I'm finding part number 3529034010. Can anyone confirm?

I'm curious what this thing is all about.

P2714 = "Pressure Control Solenoid" Story: Driving on the highway. Truck wouldn't shift from 4th to 5th. I turn it on the next day and I get an engine light along with VSC and VSC Trac. Put in my scanner and got a P2714 code and P0776 pending code. Rewind 10k miles. Did a trans fluid drain and refill, along with a new filter. Old fluid looked fine and there were no metal shavings on the magnet. Hoping it's just the solenoid. Confirmed the part number with a toyota dealership today. Going to have my mechanic replace the solenoid and see what happens. Fingers crossed.

Hi, Greenman,, did you replace Solenoid?? should I change transmission filter and fluid first??did this fix problem and eliminate code P2714? same issue with my 2006 v8 4runner, my car only has 65k miles,,I welcome your reply..thanks

I have the solenoid D code and have replace the internal wire harness and the solenoid but still have the code. I can clear the code after 7 minuets (exactly) and it will stay off until the next morning. then its back on. Im thinki9ng its a computer issue.

I have the same code P2714 that just popped up while doing break in procedure of my new gears. I cleared it with the scan gauge and hasn’t come back since after driving 30miles. The conditions were driving a total of 55 miles around town in 15 mile intervals with 30 min cool down periods in between (part of regear break in). Could this be not enough pressure for the pump while driving around town?

Below is what I found online regarding P2714. This is on my 05 V6.

Code P2714: The computer monitors slip between the turbine and output shafts to determine gear ratio, and compares that with line pressure and the SLT solenoid signal to identify problems in the system. It uses a 2-trip detection logic to set a code in memory.
If code P2714 is in memory, look for one of these conditions:
• SLT solenoid is stuck open or
closed
• A sticking valve in the valve body

Just saw this sorry for the late reply, but the solenoid wasn’t the issue. It was the transmission cover gasket (I believe is the right terminology) was leaking and causing the solenoid to flag a change in oil pressure. Replacing the cover gasket solved my issue.

Hello Warchild, reviving this thread,,, just wondering if you ever fixed the issue with code 2714, I also replaced SLT solenoid and code keeps coming back
