Feb. Trip #1 - Anza-Borrego (02/04/2012)

Alright I guess we will just see how it goes! See you Saturday, oh and I've noticed I'm the only 2wd going. I suspect I'll have to take a lot of different trails?
 
Jeddy,

there should probably be at least 1 other 2wd truck so you can split off.

i was hoping we would have someone join who knows all the trails.

I am kind of concerned about Jeddy with 2WD.

I know some of the trails are 2WD but A LOT are AWD at min or 2WD w/ locker.

I figured there would be multiple trucks so maybe the 2WD could split off together.

I don't want him to waste a trip. Any suggestions thoughts?

Speaking to that, we should choose a trail from now so he knows and so we can look up some information on that specific trail.

Maybe, we should reschedule to where more people can come? :happens:
 
I'm still a go at this point.

I will post trail info tonight after doing more research. My only issue is that I dont have a navigator so i may be driving alone.
 
Do you guys think I should bail on the trip? It seems that I am the only 2wd going and I dont want to have to branch off a whole lot and have no idea where I am going. I was really looking forward to getting my tires dirty but if I'd slow everyone down then theres no sense in me going.

hey guys, i am thinking perhaps we should reschedule for a different weekend at least two weeks down the road.

With only 4 trucks and no one who really knows the area, i'm leaning towards reschedule. I was all in but my only passenger bailed so now i will be stopping to read the map constantly.

what do you think?
 
Unfortunately I think your right. Not a huge turn out or knowledge. And hopefully if we reschedule we can get some more 2wd like me!! Haha
 
I can actually do any weekend of this month and the 20th (Monday). Just gotta know ahead of time so I can tell my friend who was coming along that we are not going.

If any of you guys are interested- I'll be hitting the Cleghorn Trail out near Devore next weekend. 2wd and 4wd are all welcome.
 
I was looking forward to this but indeed you are right. With only 4 people and no one that knows the area we should definitely reschedule...

I'm really not sure.. Do some research, all I have to say is I'm slightly concerned taking even my stock 4x4 with the pizza cutter tires. :shrug:
 
Ok guys I am officiay postponing / pulling out.

I can make a trip later in Feb or March but not this weekend.

LAME I KNOW. SORRY.

I will edit the OP, talk to some guys offline and suggest a trip out when we have a more solid group.
