Okay, so I'm debating on selling my '02 Limited T4R 4X4 with 160,000 miles.
The good:
Fully loaded...4X4, leather, sunroof, heated seats
Sequoia wheels, transmission flush 8,000 miles ago, oil always changed every 5,000 miles, no major problems ever. 2nd owner, bought with 50,000 miles 6 or 7 years ago...can't really recall at the moment. All windows, locks, keyless remotes, lights, A/C, heater, stereo, etc. work.
The bad: Salvage title. Last year on the 4th of July, at 149,000 miles, a very large tree decided to make a very large limb deposit on the driver side rear corner. None of the glass was broken. The insurance company claimed "Structural Damage" so they totaled it. I knew there was nothing wrong with it, other than the dent so I bought it back and have been using it ever since. The only damage, other than the dent is the rear hatch. The rear hatch will open, but it is a bit of a pain to get closed again. Thank goodness for the rear window roll down switch!!
The nice and shiny pic was taken one month before the limb attack. The rest show the damage that was sustained from the limb. A week after though, I used the bottle jack and a 2x4 to lift most of the dent out. It definitely looks a lot better! Most people don't notice it, since it's on the top.
Now...for the fun part! What is it worth? I know you can't look at the NADA values because it has a salvage title. I know I could make a lot more off of it if I parted it out, but I live in a condo and that is simply impossible. Any ideas on what this thing is actually worth?!
