Sure. It's not in my hands as yet and I will have to swap the innards over as my original is painted tan and the replacement is the standard grey.
Warning, I do dilly dally and it will likely be the festive holidays before I look at this. Will DM you in the future!

I didn't really modify anything, I just unscrewed the sunroof electronics unit from my original housing and screwed it into the FMU housing. The mounting points are identical.

Pretty much! You'll have to swap your sunroof electronics unit and the plastic light cover though. Also you'll have to do the wiring for the FMU to work. That was what I made the wiring harness for in my original post. You need to wire in the power, an OEM temperature sensor, and tap into your ABS unit for the moving animation to work.

I'm installing a similar one from a JDM second gen on my dash this weekend. The issue is the dash on the JDM cars slopes in the other direction so I had to do some reworking with the housing and form it to the shape of my dash. I'll probably post a thread on it when its done.

I would consider making a base to accommodate the hump.

The JDM/Prado models are right-hand drive and have a curve to accommodate the opposite hump.

The Tercel dash mount is flat-bottomed

Ya that makes it slightly easier to make a base. The right side would have to be lower and the whole back would have to slope down to match. The shape of our dash is pretty complicated. I used a relatively fast curing epoxy on the bottom of a roughly shaped base to stamp the final shape. The unit also has to sit perfectly straight on the dash to work properly (not angled at the driver)

This should have every bit of information you need. I also made an FMU thread a while back when I was troubleshooting my install you may or may not find helpful, with some information regarding wiring and part numbers between temp sensors

If your getting it if from a JDM Surf, I'm going to say no. They usually remove the toggle units because there is no reason to have it.

If you get this field monitor out of a Subaru Forester, you can find it with Fahrenheit and feet units

Haha yup, Temp x2 +32 gets you pretty dang close!

Temp x2, minus 10% +32 gets you perfect. :jump:

And meters are close enough to yards you can just multiply by 3 to get feet... though the altimeter isn't too accurate since it is pressure based.
