Fightman's Family Camping Trip

Hey folks! I've been away from my computer for a while, as I took the family camping for almost a full week. We packed up the tent trailer with some goodies, and made our way to a local Free Camping spot. The mousquitoes were plenty, the view of the lake was great, and although I was working all week, and travelling back and forth from camp to work.....it was great!

Of course, the 1st day I leave the truck with my wife, she takes it home for some supplies and ends up having issues! After citing issues with shifting, and then power related issues, I was a little confused over the phone...but after a quick look over, I was able to determine my alternator needed replacing. After a couple of hours of work, having issues with removing the darn electrical connectors off the factory piece....the new alternator was installed, and the truck was good as new again!

Overall a decent week at camp...great weather helped, now I hope my actual Vacation is going to be as good as this trip was!

That's pretty darn cool man. I've never heard of anyone taking the family out camping for a week, then going to work from camp and then back. That's a great idea!!! Did anyone give you funny looks after a couple days, like "Man, you've got some funk going on!"

Great looking kids, your daughter looks just like your wife. The picture of your daughter with the S'Mores (I think that's what it was) all over her face cracked me up. :lmao: Great photos of the lake & moon too.

No funny looks....I washed everyday in the lake! HA HA! As for the S'Mores pic....right on the money! She loved those "Chocolate Sandwiches"!

It looks like a very nice campground.

I went camping with my nieces and nephews last year in Montana. With all the candy they consumed, they had more energy and were running around like maniacs. One got lost for two hours, but was actually hiding in the tent. No more camping with them for me for another 5 years.

The smiles say it all. Boy, I miss that northern Ontario look. I was up in Wawa about ten years ago planting trees for the summer, staying in a tent the whole time, except for the 12 hours every day in the baking sun, pouring rain, or freezing cold. How were the black flies?

No blackflies to speak of, but mousquitoes, Deer Flies and Horse Flies were a treat!

Funny you mention about the wife and vehiclular issues... Not that I think it's my wifes fault at all but the last few times things have come up it's been after she's driven the car/truck. I wonder if our vehicles know someone is driving them that really doesn't love them as much as we do...? lol It's been too long since I've watched Christine. I need to watch that one again!

Yeah....I don't blame the wife for the Alternator problem....that baby was whining for a long time...it was just a matter of time before it crapped out! Too bad it happened while she was driving it.......luckily it died in the driveway.....perfect timing!
