They cancelled my order as well saying out of stock.... false advertisement, and i am sure their website keeps track of inventory so fake cancellation reason.

looks like they also raised the price so its only like 10% off but it is still in stock!

I called them about it and they said yes its cancelled out of stock.. but I told them, you are showing it in stock - you just changed the price. and they just said they cant explain it, it is just showing cancelled out of stock.

That is poor customer service imo. if they did the discount wrong, they should still honor it. I thought vivid racing was a reputable company, and I have bought $3000 racing seats from them a couple years ago for my other car. They have lost any more of my business.

It’s obviously a con job we should boycott their business or any business in the future

The fact is, that is way less than average wholesale rate, meaning they would have to pay to sell you those lights for that cheap. Expecting them to honor an obvious mistake is pretty ridiculous. I suppose they could have made a good faith offer of some percentage off, that would have been reasonable, by all counts.

Second more than likely a “one” man shop, margins are thin anyway.

Third if you are being that unforgiving over what was pretty obviously a incorrect list price, he might not want your business anyway.

Not trying to be a dick, but man see the other point of view, you ever make a mistake? You’re being a little harsh IMO :shrug:

These people saying they'll never purchase from this seller again because the seller didn't honor a mistake are the equivalent of people that find a wallet on the ground and feel the money in it intrinsically belongs to them because they found it.
 
My order got cancelled as well. Too good to be true. They said they will no longer stock the item and they would rather refund me so I don’t have to wait forever until they stock back up. Sounds like a bunch of BS to me. Sorry everyone!

I dont even care that they cancelled it honestly because yes it was a great too good to be true price. But they should have been honest about it. Not cancel it and say out of stock, then relist it in stock with a higher price. Also if you read in my previous post i bought $3000 seats from them in the past. Vividracing is not a small company either it is a large company that owns a bunch of subsidiaries.

If it was a smaller company then they would more likely be honest about it. To me its not just the price but how they went on about doing the cancellations with a fake excuse.

Also sometimes companies do clear things out if they plan to stop carrying it and figured this could be the case.

I do see both sides of it and i do think i am very reasonable and understanding about business. However, this example was poor customer service on their part. They could have also contacted the people who bought it and apologized and explain the misunderstanding instead of just cancel with no notice.

I dont feel entitled to anything but do believe in proper communication and customer service. Its not even really about the money. Offering a decent discount as you mentioned meeting somewhere in the middle would have been cool too. But at least a proper apology or explanation.

Overall really not a big deal and I don’t care all that much. Already ordered a different option from sdhq. Its just an example of poor communication/customer service.

That would be a misjudgment. I would not buy from them not based on the money but the principle of how they went about just cancelling orders without a word. If a company communicates i have no issue and am understanding. Ie the sso roof rack time frame. I dont mind waiting as long as they let us know whats going on. Doesnt bother me one bit.

Also i believe a in honor and honesty so not i dont keep anything i find. This also makes me feel strongly about principles.

Also on a separate not thanks to you i had to order 3 of those plano boxes. And they do fit perfect.

Baja Designs here. I wanted to chime in and help provide an explanation. This company does not order directly with BD, they order through a distributor. It appears there was a significant pricing error on the site. Instead of losing money on the sale, they canceled the orders. Their pricing was certainly off.

I apologize for lack of a detailed explanation and initial pricing error. It does appear that an error on pricing is to be blamed. Sorry about this.
