Hey just thought I'd post because i'm excited!
I joined this forum a year or so (maybe longer) ago because I wanted to buy a 3rd gen 4runner but I wanted advice on what to look out for and typical problems to be aware of. Well after searching on and off for the past year or so I found a suitable starter. Its a 1996 SR5 not my ideal year but hey the price was decent. 230,000 miles, a stack of maintenance records, and virtually no rust. They wanted 4500 but I got them to bring it down to 3800. The paint is rough and the tires may only have 6 months left on them but overall it seems sound. I'll have pics up as soon as I actually pick it up. They are keeping it over the weekend to fix a leaky valve cover. Then she's mine on moday!
