thats cool. would be great meeting new t4r enthusiasts! i have a few other good friends here that would like to go as well. every now and then we do a meet and greet at various locations. ill keep you posted. ill pm you my # so we can maybe plan something soon!

well i just got the lift done and just did the tie rods, idler arm and pitman arm. all moog parts and seems great so far. did the alignment as well. also did a new kyb steering stabilizer. pics soon
** after getting the parts on tie rods etc, also repacked front bearings when i installed new brake rotors and pads, i notice still a little play in steering wheel. is that normal or can i get it super tight somehow or is something else worn? steering box?
** also after alignment, seems a little all over the place. what are the ideal specs for alignment for this truck?

What's the specs on the Audi? They've been my daily driver for 20 years. Getting harder to find the ones I like with 3 pedals.

Happy new year!
If you really hate the OME, it would not hurt to try the Zuk. Many say it's red-neck engineering but I'm very happy with mine. I'm able to do Mira Mesa Blvd East or west bound at intersection with Camino Ruiz at max speed limit with no issue. Try that intersection with your OME's and let us know.
For no-cut so easy to restore to stock, I suggest you try to find Black Magic Springs with larger diameter on top to fit around the upper bump-stop and smaller on bottom to fit around the rubber bump-stop.
I do not have BJ spacer so I used 125 pound/inch, 12-inch springs. To work with your BJ spacer, a 100 pound/inch, 14-inch spring should work well. Based on Yotatech folks' feedback, 14-incher would give you 2-inch lift similar to OMEs'. An advantage is you can try different spring-rates until you're happy with the ride.
BTW, on Saturday, I'll be crewing on friend's boat for race around Coronado's and should be back in Point Loma early evening.
If you guys happen to be around Point Loma Saturday evening meet-greet/show-tell would be cool.
Oh... and the Zuk felt good even on dirt-roads of Route 66

the audi is my friends. its a 2015 audi a4 2.0t. its a auto tho.
i use to have a i think a 2012 maybe, can't remember audi a3 2.0t s-line titanium package with dsg auto i think they called it paddle shifters. it was white and ran pretty well.

why would you want to buy new wheels? The ones you have look the best and help maintain the value of the truck.

Keep the stock wheels cause they are harder to find a good set like yours and maybe switch to some black ones..That's what I would do at least
Also chefyota4x4 a well known guy on yotatech and instagram, thats his username, put some 3.0 doug thorley headers on his 2nd gen 4runner. Don't think he's finished yet but they look badass! haha

Are you trail ready yet dude? Join me up in Big Bear next Saturday or Sunday (28th or 29th) for some snow running.
To each their own but I'd favor finding some stock classic Toyota wheels and powderC them vs buying. Or just polish yours up nice and new like. That should be some work.
Nice classic truck like that should be OEM all the way except for the tape deck is way to go.

lol! that was a great video!! i like the oem somewhat but not too much. anyways, i have few more things to do to it to get it to where i feel good about doing some trips out. I'm currently getting ALL fluids changed out and got a few weird running rich issues to sort out. otherwise i would be soooo down to go out to big bear!
I agree!! The number of mostly stock 1st and 2nd gens that are really, really clean like this is seriously limited. Keep this one pretty, and find one that's beat to shit for the trail!
