How many miles were on your rig when the tranny went out? First time I've heard of a faulty tranny on a 4th gen....
113,000, but it looks brand new inside and out, my mechanic could not believe it and neither did the dealership. They said it was the first time they have ever seen any transmission problems with them. They said that the torque converter was messed up.
Did you ever service it?
Well I got it used with 100,000 on it and the guy I bought it from had all the records for it and he serviced it just about every 3,000 miles and did all necessary things to keep it in tip top shape.
Did you ever service it?
So in other words, no.
Humm... You always sort of wonder in the back of your head if the Toyota WS fluid really never needs to be swapt out for new jive... with that said, I'd be interested to know if the previous owner did have the transmission fluid changed or even flushed. If so, could that have created the problem?
Looks like your an '06 or newer. What year is your rig?
Don't start scrambling just yet.
If you didn't have the squeaking before, then you put the suspension stuff on and now you have squeaking, that very simply tells me that the issue is within the components you just worked on. It may be as simple as a quick spray of lube to let things settle in or you may have to go in again, unload the suspension bits and let everything adjust itself.
