Not a fan of big rims but they look good. It seems you take care of your truck both inside and out.

My recomendation, hard wire the radar detector to the top of the windshield. Better visibility for it, can't see it from outside so theft is a non issue and it looks cleaner.

When $$ allows, get the navigation for tor hu. It looks like a kenwood and I believe the kna g510 is compatible. $300 in 6th ave by me.

ehhh, HID's are too high of a temp for me and the tires are too small, but to each their own!!!

I would have opted for a double din that had nav so I could avoid the external nav and had a much cleaner look as well

I don't like many big chrome wheels...but this one is not bad.

Constructive criticism if you don't mind.

If you want a Show Worthy 4Runner...you need to get rid of the V6 emblem, the chrome grill, door handles & the emblem on the door for a clean look.

I know the side window guards are functional, because my brother has them & I like...however, you need to ditch them.

Plus...get the rear windows tinted so they are darker & get the front (2) to match. The Navi & sound system is a plus, but you need to make the enclosure & amp cleaner. And also get leather seats. Leather seats are all for looks & easier to clean if you have a mess...but it'll help to get more points.

Lastly...I would get get bigger wheels & probably do a hydraulic suspension, so your car will dip.

I think spinner wheels are kinda foolish, but I once had an invision of doing a show car w/ hydraulics, fat spinners & auto-start.

So when I park the car, I can press a button & the car will sag to the floor, while blowing a burst of air & causing the wheels to spin.

Sorry for being a little judgemental, but I'm just trying to give you constructive criticism since your title of the Thread was Show-Worthy.

Not to be rude, but the 4runner has such a strong offroad heritage. Can I ask why you (or anyone) would go that route? You could have a much nicer riding SUV for your bologna skin tires. The 4Runner is built for offroading! Why do that!?

Thank you, yes i do take care of it. Washed every weekend, leather conditioner on all panels, waxed almost every month. all for the low price of free . all thanks to working at a car wash! lol. but yeah i just got that temporarily till i could afford one with nav. Plus, i dont even use it all that much anyways. And about the hardwire thing, im not too good with electronics and wiring. That would be a later option.

Thanks! They are actually 22's but the tires make them look somewhat smaller i think? Oh and i love the headlights you have on your truck, if only you had gotten the chrome backed one, it would match perfectly! But still looks very sharp.

Yeah, i like the high temp. I think it makes it easier for me to see at night, but you are right, to each his own.

I hopefully will be getting a built in Nav soon as well.. if money allows. Its hard washing cars these days, due to a recession lol.

Lol, thanks Kenny, I appreciate the funny criticism, but i meant by show worthy, as in good enough for the forum worthy. I had to wait till I had a less than stock look before i showed off the rig. All of yall have given me much inspiration to modding up this wonderful truck. I just wish i had a good trick to not having to get now 15.8 MPG in the city and 330 miles to the tank.

Wow...we def. have a difference in opinion on what looks good for a 4Runner! This is not the late 80s early 90s...lowrider trucks with airbags
are not cool. Bling bling should be kept off of a 4Runner..save it for an Escalade. And spinners? Come on now. Those were cool for about 3 months among the gangsta crowd.

It's definitely not what I would do with my rig, but I can respect taking the time to put your own touch on your 4Runner.

The one thing I would never do is big rims. I prefer to not be afraid of potholes and curbs. I'd rather mow right over them.

I don't know about you, but zip ties hold about half my truck together and electrical tape holds a good 25% of the rest.

We held on the remote resi's for our coilovers with zip ties until we had brackets welded on. :bigok:

Because it's his 4Runner and he can do whatever the hell he wants to with it, besides the newer 4Runner's nowadays are being built more for luxury rather than for offroad, if I was gonna hit some trails a newer 4Runner isan't what I'd do it in. ALTHOUGH they are still very capable, I'd get either a 1st or 2nd Gen and give it hell!

But Chris, the Runner is looking great, if I could make some suggestions, the chrome door handles, grille, and rear garnish would look much better if they were color matched blue, but that's just my opinion. Keep up the good work! :bigok:

The one thing I would never do is big rims. I prefer to not be afraid of potholes and curbs. I'd rather mow right over them.

Not so long ago, 17" rims were considered BLING by the off-road crowd! : So, with time, you never know...20" rims may be the standard. BFG and other manufacturers are now making off-road tires for big rims...and since many new SUVs have huge vented disc brakes (for stopping power and fade resistance), soon enough, you won't have a choice to go to a smaller rim.

BTW, how can you mow over potholes with your highway bias tires?? Just kidding Josh.

Wire nuts and electrical tape? Think I would have used crimp contectors and shrink wrap at least. Whats with all the zip ties? Rest looks great.
