So far only drove it in town. No major difference. The plugs were in pretty good shape, however the throttle body and fuel filter were in bad shape. I'm hoping taking care of those will assist in moving those big heavy tires around. I went ahead and did the plugs anyways just because I have no idea when they were done last, it was more of a piece of mind kinda thing.

I'm due for my next oil change again but I'm wanting to do a little more research on possibly relocating the oil filter first, I despise having it on the side of the block where it always seems to make a big mess. I miss the oil changes on my Tacoma where you could do it without spilling a single drop.

The next major maintenance will be replacing the clutch and rear main seal. The seal is leaking fairly decent so it has to get done soon, clutch is still the original with 220k on it so it's time for it as well, especially with the new tires.

So finally mounted up the last switch for now. Still have to wire everything but glad I finally found a home for all of them.

First are all the switches on the side..... There's just a few of them

Then the lockers.... Making use of that little cubby

And finally the winch control. No need for the factory clock since my HU has one built in.

I'm pretty happy with how they turned out though. I was pretty concerned about finding a place for all of them.

I'm also on the hunt for some 7 wraps so if anyone has some they want to get rid of or trade for some 8.5 wraps let me know.

New rack bushings, rack guide, and extended rear brake line showed up yesterday. Gonna try and get those on maybe tomorrow. Also some 7 wraps should be here Monday so I can get the back lowered down so there's not so much rake.

Then it's off to get an alignment and take her out for some testing.

Looks great dude! where did u get the switches? i think its time i finally get some good switches since im currently just using cheap ones from autozone.

They are Carling switches from otrattw.com . Same type switches that come with ARB lockers.

Installed the Wheeler's steering rack bushing kit and a new version rack guide yesterday. WOW what a difference. Steering is back to being nice and tight again! I'm not sure how much difference the rack guide made since I wasn't noticing any of the tell tell signs of mine going bad but I did have ALOT of play in the mounting bushings. Much better now!

Also swapped out the LX450 rear coils for some 7.5 wraps, dropped it down some but still hoping it settles just a touch more.

I can run the 35's on stock suspension if I want. Everything is clearanced for them.


Just got bad news from the alignment shop though, the passenger side inner and outter tie rods are seized together and can't be adjusted.

Well bad news turned into "whatever" news. It's in aligned in spec, but the passenger side is froze up. Luckly it didn't need to be adjusted really. So I'll just leave it as is till the swap. No need in replacing them when they'll be cut off.

So finally got the new coils put in the rear. Brought it down to a much better height than before..

Just for reference:
Front - Bilstein Tundra 5100's on second perch - Tundra Coils
Rear - Bilstein 5100's - OME 890's
315/75R16 MTZ's

Loving the stance now, I think it looks much better. Only a short trip across town but I think the 890's ride just fine so far.

Forgot to mention, right now the rear is 3/4" higher than the front however with the 890's being brand new I'm sure they will settle a little.
