We have owned a 88 Bronco II, 99 Exploder, 2001 Pathfinder, 2003 Pathfinder and I always wanted a 4Runner, but my better half did not like them back in the early 2000's....So, we recently decided that we wanted another suv and I was surprised when I mentioned looking at a 4Runner she said 'OK'...
She was very impressed....and I was like, who are you????
So far, have added the Westin steps and bull bar. Also, traded in the Duelers for Michelin's this week.
Hope to gain some info. from here on how to reduce the nose diving and body roll without breaking the bank....and improve mpg

Pics from the first day....about 6 months ago.

Hmmmmm i must say while i live in the land of 15,000 lakes I've never seen a pole holder quite like that. Welcome

Welcome! And congrats on finally getting her to cave after years of pressure. Nice color, too - same as mine. One question: can you troll with those poles by driving in reverse?

Welcome to T4R !
Please tell me you don't intend to take that on the beach, the sand and salt will wreak havoc on it. I know from experience from surf fishing on Assateague Island.

No worries....I will only take it on the beach once or twice per year. And I always powerwash the under carriage at the end of our trip. Have been doing this with my 4x4's since the late 1980's and have never had an issue. :fishing:

lol.....Rack is for transporting rigs from the beach house to the access area and occasional trip in the sand. Used to do more beach driving, but the beach we go to now does not allow. There is beach access about 45 minutes from where we stay though and really want to test out the 4Runner in it to see if it does better than the Pathfinders we had.

I called my Ford an Exploder as well, drove it through high school15+ years ago. Just bought a gen 3 two days ago, my first T4R.
