Went to a salvage yard for the first time today. The first 4runner I came up on, I observed a mexican guy taking a DUMP on the running board as I walked up, who ran off when he saw me :yuck: OK forget that one, on to number 2 (no pun intended)... severe front end collision with biohazard stickers (surprised they are allowed to sell biohazard wrecks). A shame because it looked well cared for, very clean frame and had lowrange, bilstein, etc stickers all over the back. There was blood on the airbag, I really hope the guy walked away with only a bloody nose. I saw a different 4runner with a "VIC" sticker on the windshield... victim??
Third one was already stripped bare but had a couple axle shafts I kind of wanted but they had been buried in snow (the yard seems to pull them all half way out ready to go). One of them looked like it had already been leaked on, and the brake was solid with ice so couldn't tell how the bearing was. I'm guessing the bearing would be contaminated by the water and dirt anyway.
