First look at redesigned 2018 Toyota Prado

I know it's a different vehicle, but it shares the same underpinnings as the 4Runner. Here are leaked photos of the redesigned Toyota Prado for 2018.

Since the Prado shares the same lifecycle and refresh cycle as the 4Runner, a redesigned 4Runner could be here in a few months.

Those vertical lines on the grill are eerily similar to another product..

I actually really like what I'm seeing. It could be promising.

I love my 5th gen.. perefect in most ways.. would like to see a new powerplant but the 4.0 is more than adequate.

I just wish we could have a more stripped down LC option in the US.

To me doesn't look as aggressive as current 5th gen. Almost looks like a mix of a 5th gen and lexus. More aggressive than past yes but seems less aggressive than current (excluding limited, Which I still love the luxury look of).

Redesign? It's a facelift of the same basic old as piss design.

Good to hear some potential news, but if this is indeed a facelift only I dont know what that means for a 6th gen release date. I was thinking 2019, but I'd image this would mean longer.

This is exactly what I think when I look at new Toyota trucks and 4Runners. I don't care for the look of the current front ends. To me, I just try to think how aftermarket bumpers could improve appearance and function. But I kinda sucks to want to have to change that stuff straight off, where 3rd gen, even fat lip front ends look good stock.

If that Prado is the shape of things to come, it reminds me of a Lexus 470's overall look. If that's the case, cosmetically, it could be worse. I just don't want them to go the way of the Nissan Pathfinder.
