First mod to my 2004. Home made intake.

Done late at night couldn't see well. But it came out decent.
K&N filter, some cheap pipe, T-bolt clamps and an AFM adapter from autozone.
I think with my dealer discounts I got everything under 120. Now I just need to build the box around the filter.
Regardless, the difference this make is crazy. You can really hear the vvti kick in, also sound is great.
The dyno butt says it's a bit quicker but, the sound could be playing mind games with me.
Next is to go on the highway for a while and see what MPG I get out of it driving like an old lady.
I was getting 18.1 before. Will post an update later.

Looks good! You going to do a closed boxed or one similar to the K&N? Also do you feel any vibrations during hard acceleration? My Volant use to do that a bit.

No vibration really, maybe a resonance sound on WOT, but no real vibration. I plan on doing the K&N style walled in area. Some sheet metal and cut a slit down rubber tubing to put on the top of it to meet the hood liner. It sounds really good. That vvti comes a lives.
