First Start Up. No Spark

Just got my new motor completely installed. Go to fire up and I have no spark. I just installed an igniter that I got off of ebay and I think that might be the culprit. I've checked all my connectors as far as ignition goes and everything looks to be all hooked. Anyone have suggestions? I've been trying to get this truck back running for a few months now and I'm beyond frustrated.

Take the igniter to auto zone and get it checked out. Are you sure your harness are all connected.

Everything's hooked up. I just went through and checked all connectors for ignition. Unplugged all coil packs and reseated.

Was this new engine rebuilt?
Was it used, and running in another vehicle before it was installed in yours?
If it's a 5VZ-FE, did you install a new T-belt? If so, maybe the timing is 180° out.

Rebuilt block with all new bottom end and new valve train. Timing belt is new and both cams are at TDC and crank's at 0.

Any spark issues prior to the rebuild?

All sensors plugged in? Cam, Crank? Any fuses blown?

No spark issues prior to build and all sensors are plugged in. I'll check fuses. Is there anything special I had to do when I installed my crank and cam sensors?

I found the problem, a plug for the ECU was loose and not seated all the way. Spark now and starts but has a terrible idle. I've checked my firing order for my coil packs and it all checks out. I'm curious of vacuum.

If the vacuum and ignition wiring all checks out - maybe the ECU just needs to learn a new baseline for the new engine or components ... I swapped ECUs one time on another vehicle and it ran pretty rough on initial startup - then smoothed out as it adjusted to my engine.

I was thinking the same thing but it won't even run long enough to throw codes or anything. It just sputters and dies unless I keep it running which it doesn't like either. Everything is hooked up right. My mechanic buddy is stopping by after work to give it a look.
