P.S. is there a way to wire the lights so they will be completely independant? I want to be able to flip the switch and go. no ignition. no parking lamps, just the lights.

Yes, of course. Simply take the input to the switch from the battery (fused) and not the parking lamp circuit.

you did an awesome job explaining, I got confused when it came to tapping the headlight wire, I did some thinking last nite and I belive (with your help) I figured it out. instead of going to a light can I run the wire back to the fuse where I got power in the first place?

Can you clarify the question a little more...I am not sure what you are asking. I am sure we can get this working as you want.

Yes, you can have the green wired go back to the area between the fuse and the relay, rather than to the headlamp.

Part of the problem on my end is that I have red, white, and black. Now I have the wires figured out, and I am dealing with three(I was trying to only use red & black Ignoring the white) thank you for all the help.

Yeah, dont let the wire colors confuse you. It's not the color that matters, but rather where they terminate.
