This thread will serve as the update platform for the DC Convoy™ consisting of limamike, Joneseyyy, and 4ShoreRunner as they trek from the DC metro area to Ouray, CO to Moab, UT to Santa Fe, NM to Nashville, TN to St. Augustine, FL and back to DC. You can view the real-time* status of the DC Convoy™ as they move across this great country via their DeLorme inReach Iridium beacons on this map: http://share.delorme.com/?MapId=33080b98ccb14ff6aae53e3d9642ba82

The route will be something close to this:

The DC Convoy™ will be departing on DTG 140400RJUL2012. More updates to follow.

*The inReach devices will update at a regular interval of 10 minutes, but you may also query each beacon via satellite for an instant update.

I think Dave and I will be in/around STL Saturday night after driving ALL day. I think Mike is branching off to see some friends in Springfield, IL Saturday night.

Guys the Delorme is cool, I can track your "steps". Wow! Guess I forgot how low in elevation Ohio is ... according one Delorme entry - approx 950 ft above sea level. You guys are really going to gain altitude when you hit the Rockies - an easy 10,000 more feet in altitude depending on the passes you come over.

Wonder how the "seat of the pants" performance in the runners will change?

Hmmmm guys isn't the speed limit in Ohio 65? Thanks for sharing your trip.
