FJ wheels and 285's?

New here!

Picked up a TRDP yesterday and my 2/1.5" cornfed kit showed up this afternoon. I'm planning on 285's and wanted to know if I would run into any issues using the 17x7.5 FJ Cruiser wheels on this setup?

Love the steelie look (had them on my tacoma) and didn't know if the wheel backspacing or offset would cause an issue.

Looking at these, Toyota Part Number: 42611-35330 and can also get center caps.

specs on the wheel from the FJ forums.

Might find some peoples experience in the size up tire thread!

The FJ wheels seem to have the same dimensions as the trail wheels. I have 285/70 falken M/Ts and trail wheels and no rubbing at all. Should be said i did do a front bumper trim (high clearancr cut)

I'm pulling the trigger on a set of takeoffs.

Might have them powder-coated grey to rock the classic white no nonsense Toyota look:

a 7.5" wide wheel is fine for a 285. The alloy early trail wheels are exactly the same as the optional FJ cruiser alloys. Yet oddly enough they use different center caps. However if you're running JBA control arms they won't clear those unless you run spacers. I actually just ordered some 17x8.5's for mine so I can ditch the spacers and not hit my arms.
