Flaking and Peeling Clear Coat.

The clear coat on the top my spoiler is starting to lift and flake off of the paint in a few places. I was thinking of just sanding and touching it up myself. What is the best aftermarket clear coat to use that comes in a spray can?

If your talking about the spoiler on the truck in your profile pic then there is no spray can clear good enough to fix your problem. The best advice i can give you is to remove the spoiler yourself and take it to a reputable body shop and have it repainted. By removing it yourself your gonna save money and by not spraying rattle can clear coat on it your gonna save money. It wouldnt cost a ton of $ to have it painted again, mayb $120. Thats my .02

Thanks for the advice 4gin007. That was my original thought but being the lazy type that I am I wanted to avoid the process of removing it. taking it to a shop and waiting for them to paint it then reinstalling it. But as you said, the results would be better if the pros do it. You've encouraged me. Now I just have to figure out how to remove it from the vehicle.
