Flat Black finished product.

Personally, I don't think it would look good w/ a black T4R as the accents I changed are flat black and not glossy. The titanium goes very well w/ the flat black...you'd have to see it in person to appreciate it. I think it's subtle yet bold. But hey...can't please em all. I love it more and more every time I see it!!!

There's actually a lot flat black accents already on a T4R...The inner front grill, the lower front grill, the roof rack, the mirrors, the window trim on the side windows, the rear wiper and trip around the window...that's why I think it ties it all together. To me, the chrome seemed out of place especially once the wheels were powder coated...

so from what i've read blacking out the headlights is a diy job. I need instructions and pics please of finished products.

Search the username FroSheezy, he's got a couple of threads with details. Searching usernames actually works...

i've tried that but somehow can't get frosheezy right in the system no matter how hard i try....can someone just lay it out for me...and show me some pics on some non black T4Rs

For some reason this DIY mod scares me. Do you have to reallign the headlights when you are finished? I wasn't afraid to take the whole back end apart to get to the rear garnish, but for some reason I'm afraid to tackle this mod. Does anyone have a close up pick on a titanium, or any pics of the process?? Like I said, a bit scared of this mod...but i do agree...would finish off the mods I already completed very well. I looked at your post...are there any w/ pictures of the process?

Also, I read a post about a dealer doing away w/ the orange DRLs...is tha a bulb I can pull out? I hate them, I usually just drive w/ my headlights on b/c I can't stand the orange DRL even though I apparently paid more for that option according to my window sticker.

Thanks guys, you have been so helpful

agree

looks good, like fosheezy said, blackout some more little things- door handles ,headlights ,etc.. to tie it together. black sliders would look good too!

door handles would be too hard to remove and they get too much friction, paint would wear off. I'm on the fence about the headlights, almost did it last weekend. I love the way it looks now. I get a lot of stares from other T4R owners, I see them thinking, "is that a special edition." Can't decide about the headlights though. Nothing else to do unless i did the whole grill which i don't want to i like the mix 'n match there. I do want some sliders but those come after a small lift. I also would like to mount a full size spare on the rear...swing out style...all in good time. I plan to own this vehicle for a loooooooooooong time.

I used to have a butte of a Land Cruiser. It was an all original no rust 1978...I don't think I had one piece of chrome. Sold it b/c I didn't have a garage at the time and didn't want it to rust sitting in the snow....was my daily driver for 4 years...sold it for 3k more than I paid for it. The T4R is my "pretend" landcruiser....I wanna go as far as the wife will allow
