Flowmaster 40 with stock pipes + resonator?

Ive been debating this one for the Yank (see signature). Im thinking of cutting out my stock muffler and sticking a 40 in place with the stock pipes and resonator, primarily to get a better sound yet keep the drone down. Planning on a clamp in install so I can try something else if i dont like it. Im also trying to do this on a cheap ass broke college student/retail drone budget, sub $120 (Headers ate the rest of my budget.)

Sounds good. I have a super 44 with no resonator and it drones a little bit but I think it sounds great.

I've got a 50 series and it's loud as heck!!! But I also have custom piping and no resonators...and I also cut off two of the cats. Idles nice and deep and sounds awesome when you push the go pedal, but the drone at 2000 rpm is almost enough to make it unbearable....almost.

Kind of sounds like someone's playing a trombone in the back:horn:
