man, just keep that 44 on, otherwise u need the 50 to tame it down.

supper 44 or super 40?
I have a 97 limited stock. Im runnin the 50 delta flow. Souds good in park revin it, but not deep enough for me. Performance wise great throttle responce and the truck has never felt better.
Any thoughts on which muffler would be best for a deeper louder sound the super 44 or super 40 ?

In my experience exhaust systems never really sound that great on the Toyota engines. I've had my flowmaster xx to add a little rumble to the V8. It wasn't until I put about 50k miles on the system that I broke it in and it started sounding good.

I've had the super 44 on my v8 now and I think it's loud. It does have a significant drone on the highway, but if you want the "mustang" rumble then that's your route. If you're looking for loud but still conservative I would go with the the 50 series.

V8 yes but the mustang sound is bassani ! V6 would be way to ricey ! V8 IMO 50 delta or super 70ii .

ik this is an old post, but i'm looking into the super 44 on my 4.7 v8 and was wondering what inlet/outlet size you had it welded on your stock exhaust system

Can somebody post a sound clip for the super 44? Interested in a throaty sound at idle, without being super loud in the low rpms or droning on the freeway...

This muffler is not for you, it's loud. My alignment guy thought my truck was a v8 until I told him it's only a v6.

I installed the Flowmaster Super 44 on my 03 4.7. Sounds great. I kept both resonators on and the drone is not bad but still adds a nice deep bellow at low RPM and a clean growl at higher RPM.
I went with the 2.5" center in, 2.5" offset out. It cost me about $86 for the muffler and about $170 after tax to have it welded in by a shop here in Washington state just north of Seattle.
Now I just have to get some headers to get rid of my cracked manifolds. damn damn damn.

170 to just have it welded in?! Dang...shop welded in mine for 60 bucks..but I guess that must just be Seattle prices for ya

Yeah, That was after calling around to several shops... Seattle is such a crapshoot when it comes to auto repair imo. And that's setting aside the absurd price rise for absolutely ev...er..y...thing. Thanks Amazon, Google, and all the other tech companies flooding the region!
