Flowmaster Exhaust Tip install

I ended up getting a Flowmaster Exhaust tip for Christmas. I got the right size being the tail pipe is 2.5in. However after cutting the current exhaust pipe down to size I can't just slip it over.

Any suggestion as it looks like its off by the slightest amount say maybe 1/16th of an inch or less.

I would try and widen/stretch it out a bit on the end, then it should slide over

Figured it out. I had to first cut notches in the tail pipe and bend it inward a bit. Afterwards I grounded the pipe down a bit with the Dremel tool to shave off maybe 1/100th of an inch to give just that bit more clearance to slide the Flowmaster tip on. After that and some pounding it went right on and tightened up the bolt. Love it!
