i have a 40 series flowmaster on mine, couldnt be happier. sounds nice a throtty when i get up on it and has a nice mellow tone when just cruising.

Flowmaster 40D: Sometimes the interior humm is kinda annoying though, isn't it? I still like it. In a way I kinda wish it was louder on the outside and quieter on the inside of the cab.

in my truck its just fine. i have 4cyclinder though so that could be it.

It humms loud in my 3.4V6 especiall between 30-45MPH and acceleration

yeah i figured that why yours was so loud. do u have 2.5" piping as well?

I'm pretty sure i have 2.5" piping, i am using the stcok factory pipe. The muffler shop who put it in for me said it was 2.5" and if I went bigger pipe, it would be louder. It is loud now.

All i want now is for someone to make a 6" lift for the 3rd Gens. That would be so nice.

Straight Axle would cost. I know Tacoma's have some 6" lift options like the Trailmaster, Procomp, and others but none for the 3rd gen 4Runner. My daughter is 14 and in a few years will need a car. I might just dump her the 4Runner and get me a Tacoma. By then I would be ready to hand over to another generation the 4Runner. Of course daddy will make sure it is kept in offroad ready shape, not a freakin boyfriend ride. LOL.
I love the 4Runner cause it's roomy.

in a couple of years, they might have something for the 3rd Generations. I see the 80s gen have a 6" lift out there.

we can but until I get mud tires put on, I will only do gravel or a 1 rated trail. how is reiter's?

last wheeling I did scared the living crap outta me. hahahaha. I'm chicken.
