FN fx pro wheel pic thread

I noticed the stock TRD's are listed on amazon at $800 for a set of four.

Is there any reason to get the FN replica's over stock?

Yes, for me there was. I wanted the wider wheel with the 0mm offset (the FN's are a little wider than OEM with 0mm offset).

Spec's of the FN's from Dustin:

Thanks. How do you go about ordering these if they aren't on the site?

Just wondering, I've seen numerous mentions in this thread about people considering the "bronze" finish, and I think one mention about it not actually being an option?

Is there actually a bronze finish available or is everyone mistakenly saying bronze instead of gunmetal? :smow:

What hitch tire carrier is that? Do you ever get pulled over with the license plate not being visible behind your tire carrier?

Yes, at least there used to be a "bronze" option. But, call Dustin and ask about current options ... but below is what he emailed me 6 months ago about the wheels:

Thank you for emailing us regarding our FX Pro wheels. Please find specs and images and below.

Current pricing for the 17x8" wheels is $799 including shipping within the continental USA for a set of four. This price will increase slightly June 1, 2018.

We will be releasing 16x8" and 18x9" FX Pros in early August.

16x8" +0mm offset 6x139.7
18x9" +0mm offset 6x139.7
18x9" +25mm offset 5x150

Thank you,

Dustin

Its a CBI hitch mounted tire carrier... I bought it used from another forum member a couple yrs ago. Yes, I've been pulled over once and one other time a Sheriff asked about it while I was parked at a lake fishing. I got different answers from the officers while discussing with them and a third answer from the DMV when I called them about it.

I sent an e-mail using their form on the website 2 weeks ago with no response. It was after Christmas, but before New Years so I gave him the benefit of the doubt that he completely closed down until the new year. Still haven't gotten an e-mail back. Just got back from a quick vacation last night so I called early this morning and even stated in my voicemail that I was wanting to put an order in and haven't received a callback yet either. I'm sure the wheels are worth the wait, but a little surprising that it's this difficult to give someone my money after many have sung praises about his customer service.

Might have been a little later than I expected because of the time zone difference, but I just got off the phone with Dustin and have a set of 5 matte bronze headed my way--very excited.

For what it's worth Dustin let me know that they just received a shipment of wheels and they have been selling quickly between new orders and filling backorders from the holidays. He said they received roughly 500 sets of the matte black (their most popular color) and there are 150 sets left. They received fewer of the high gloss gunmetal and matte bronze and those are also going quickly with a more limited number remaining. If anyone is interested I'd suggest calling directly and not waiting on an e-mail. If they sell out of a color you're wanting he said the next shipment isn't due until April.

Five of these showed up on my doorstep a couple hours ago. Still have decent tread left on my current tires, so going to wait a little longer to see if a deal on KO2's comes around--right now best I could find is only a $50 rebate which is pretty bad. Only goal is to get them on before my trip to Big Bend in March
