I really want to do this but I keep stopping myself everytime because my fuse box is different from the one pictured....His is a 2007, mine is a 2004. My only problem is the 12v power source, the bottom end of the red wire, I dont have that round hole in my fuse box and Im not sure of where else I could put that end of the wire. Any suggestions? Thank you guys for the help so far, I know I will be needing more along the way :)

how about i take your pictures and ROTATE and ENLARGE it so you can see that they are the same fuse box except the relays are different colors?

small picture ENLARGED and ROTATED LEFT. next to unmodded fuse box

Just went out to my truck to snap some pictures for you

this is where you can get a switch 12volt ignition controlled source from.

You need to tap the fused side of the fuse like in my picture. I am only showing you were to get the power. I wired in a external relay to have my Rigid Industries D2's on all the time when the car is running as DRLs. So my wire routing does not apply to you. :)

For SR5 and Sport Edition owners you will find ignition activated 12V+ power at the bottom left prong #1 of the IG relay socket. SR5 and Sport Edition owners do not have an IG relay as that is for the seat heaters which came on Limited Edition's only. Use an 0.250" insulated male quick disconnect 'crimp type' solderless terminal which plugs directly into this socket.

Ok stupid question....it shows only one end of the wire striped. Does the striped end go in the relay or the 12v? I would assume the 12v BUT I'm not 100% sure.

Like gshadow and morphius said, the fuse box is the same just different relay colors. You strip both ends of the wire. On one end, the end that goes to the relays bent pin you put the specified female crimp connector. On the other stripped end you put a male crimp connector. For that one you plug it into #1 slot of the IG relay socket as that is ignition 12V power and not constant power.

Thank You!!!! I guess I was more scared than anything, I have never messed with electrical stuff before, didnt want to hurt my Runner. :bluejump: Im so excited I did it!!!!
