Fog Lights Cannot be used without Headlights?

Has anyone figured out how to turn their fog lights on without having their normal headlights on?

I read over the manual and it sounds like it is not possible to do. Seems like a really stupid design to me, anyone else notice that?

Yep I noticed. And nope, I haven't been able to make the fog lights stay on with the low beams off. Not that you would ever need to. Even in fog, you just don't want your high beams on. I like how the 4runner looks with all 4 lights on at the same time though. :bigok:

This mod shows everything EXCEPT the fog lights on by themselves. Why of all photos he posted did he not include the one everyone is asking about. Fog lights on alone, without any other lights. In my opinion unless he just forgot to post the photo showing it, this mod doesnt allow fog lights ALONE to be switched on with the OEM switch.

Part 1 makes the fogs come on while the headlights are off. There is a pic of that. OP specifically asked "how to turn their fog lights on without having their normal headlights on".

this mod plus adding 3000k yellow HID bulbs in the stock foglights makes for great visibility in fog or snow. still baffled that some manufacturers are not smart enough to know fog light should be used standalone from the low beams.
