I replaced mine with a light bar using the fog light wiring.
Would you mind posting a pic or two if you have the time? It'd be really helpful.

My wiring is so corroded that I need to either chop the pigtails and splice them into the OEM lights or replace the pigtails. Problem is that I have never been able to determine what 'plug' it is. Lots of searching and no luck. I haven't had any issues with the housings themselves.
I do have a small lightbar mounted on the front grill directly connected to the battery with a two-way switch. Not a bad way to go but Ideally you could have the bar + your fogs.

I had a broken lens on one of my stock ones a couple months ago and just replaced them with Hella Micro DE projection lamps. Had to do a little fab work to make a plate that allowed the universal brackets to mate up with the stock brackets but the placement was pretty good really. Here's how they look (sorry not the greatest pic but you get the idea).
I've been kicking around the idea of fabbing a bracket to adapt the Morimoto 70mm LED fogs to mount to the stock fog light brackets. I may have have to enlarge the factory bumper opening but it the output would be well worth it.

I've been kicking around the idea of fabbing a bracket to adapt the Morimoto 70mm LED fogs to mount to the stock fog light brackets. I may have have to enlarge the factory bumper opening but the output would be well worth it.

Have you got any pictures of the plate that you made to mount the Hellas? I managed to pick up a set of OEM fog lamps, brackets and relay for next to nothing, but the drivers side lamp glass is busted. I'm thinking of using Hellas, but I'd like to see what I'm getting into.

Sorry took me a bit to remember to snap some pics when it wasn't raining. I just used some metal sheet that I had laying around to make a plate that bolted to the stock fog light bracket then bolted the bracket that came with the hella light to that plate. As you can see it lines up pretty well.
