For new CA owners - How long before you got your license plates?

I bought my 4Runner about 6 weeks ago and I still haven't received plates. How long did it take for you?

i just got mine last week, bought the runner at the beginning of may. i was suprised at how fast my plates got to me. my uncle who bought his runner a couple of weeks before me hasnt gotten his either. weird.

It took mine about 6-7 weeks to arrive. It took longer this time considering they usually arrive within 4-5 weeks.

WOW that is crazy, here in NY, dealers have drawers full. As soon as you get the car, the plates are on!!!

8 weeks exactly. Arrived yesterday.

If the dealers are slow in sending in the dmv paperwork your plates can get delayed. Need not worry as long as you have the temp paperwork you are fine. Plus it feels good to drive a vehicle w/o plates Just gives ya that new car feeling!
