FOR SALE: Surco Safari Rack (45x60)

For sale is a USED Surco Safari Rack, measurements are 45" x 60". I had this on my 4Runner for about one year and decided to go a different route with my vehicle. The application is for a Toyota 4Runner, but I believe it may work for other vehicles; please do not quote me on that.

Included is the rack itself along with 4 light adapters already installed for whatever choice of lamp system you would like to use. The only thing you will be needing to purchase are the roof rack channel adapters, which can easily be bought from Surco's company website (http://www.surcoinc.com/appguide.php).

My asking price is $150, FIRM. I do not have the time to ship this across the United States. I am located in the Southern California area, most specifically Los Angeles County. I am hoping for a local pick up.

I am just curious is there any way I can adapt this to a factory rack system while using factory cross bars?

Also, any pictures of it mounted?

Thanks for your inquiry. To be honest, I am not sure the rack may be applicable to your year of 4Runner. My year of 4Runner is a 1996, a 3rd generation.

I would double check on Surco's website, because I know they have different roof rack channel adapters for purchase. But I would double check on that.

I will post a picture of when it was mounted on my 4Runner for your reference.

I am pretty sure your mounts would not work, but I was just thinking of ditching the old mounts, and using the holes already in the rack to attach it to something like the mounts shown in the attached pic.

Basically I would use a nut and bolt to hold it to the horizontal yakima mounts.
