For those of you with LC coils in the rear

I wasn't getting an answer in my other thread so i figured i'd start a new one just for this. I am currently not happy with the amount of lift the OME kit provided so I'm wondering what my options are. I'm thinking of going with the LC coils in the back but unsure of which shocks to use.

Here is my current set up:
Front: 881's with 5mm trim packer (37" ground to fender)
Rear: 891's with 10mm trim packer (38" ground to fender)

Here are my questions:
Where is a good place to find the LC springs besides a forum classified?
Whats shocks is everyone running with the LC coils? part numbers? (most important question)
Can I use the 3/4" top plate spacer with my current front set up?

After seeing what haddix and millerpka have done to theirs, I know I will not be happy with my current lift and some 285's.

Ok, the first question is what will you be happy with? I think after the first "lift" you realize there is more, so, I am with you.

If you want to do LC coils, there is an LC coil thread with the color codes of all the measurements you need. http://www.toyota-4runner.org/3rd-gen-t4rs/66753-lc-coil-spring-color-codes.html
you can get them at your local toyota/wrecking yard for around 60$ or shipped for 80$ from ROCKI TOP AUTO ask for Katy(my wifes best friend)

as for shocks, the best/cheapest shocks that I have heard that run with the lifted applications are the bilsteins... if you want to go all out go for FOX, but Bilstein has by far the best reputation for the least $ amount IMHO...

here's mine you could do 883s and 8wrap lc's im useing skyjacker nitro 8000 shocks n8055 there long enough

I'm not sure what i'm going to be happy with. I know I want to run larger than a 285 tire and I don't think i can do that with the lift i have now. The cheapest option would be to add a 1" body lift. To redo the rear suspension is going to be like another $400 or so plus top out spacers for the front. And thats all before I even buy tires and wheel spacers. Just trying to see whats the easiest solution and what i have money for.

why 400$??

I figure 80$ LC coils,

and 2 bilstein 5125's at 71$ each or 142$ (from Amazon.com)

grand total is 222$

and you can make that cheaper if you go procomp or some other extended rear shock...


edit: oh, yeah, Elton has it down with those skyjacker nitro shocks n8055 they are like 44$ each, that brings your total to around 168$ to redo your rear lift...

Anything else that i NEED to have? Some people arent doing the pan hard bar, extended brake lines or anything so I was wondering what else I should need.

you already did the diff drop in the front right?? thats about all that I would say is required, unless you like changing out cvs on a regular basis! LOL :biggrin2:

I havent done the panhard or brake line and dont feel either is necessary.

Yeah, Katy should get back with you Tues morn, They are open M-F but will be closed Monday for Memorial day...
