For those with 285/70/17

Thank you for sharing your setup! I also have a 2017 TRD ORP with Bilstein 5100s, but mine are 1.75" front with 1" cornfed spacer in the rear. I'm keeping my stock wheels. I have been trying to decide on 275s or jumping up to 285s, but I don't really want to do a BMC. I don't mind modding the bumper/mudflaps/fender liner.

Based you your experience, it sounds like I can probably run the 285s without having to do the BMC, which is music to my ears! Of course I know that all vehicles are slightly different and my experience could be different.

Wheel width and offset are key to whether you will have to do a BMC. On my Pro I just added Cornfed 1.5/1” spacers and did no modifications at all. No issues on or off road. The key here is the factory 1” higher lift up front on the Pro, fender liner mod at the port as stated prior and the 7” wide Pro wheels with the +4 offset all help to clear 285/70-17’s, usually without any modifications. Go 285.

I’m running 285’s without having to do any mods.

I do have a 2.5” Daystar spacer lift front n 1” rear.

My KO2’s have cleared just fine, even off roaring w articulation of the suspension.
