For those with Weathertech Floor Liners.....

Unless I'm missing something here... Did you buy the Toyota carpet floor mats with your 4Runner? If so, then there should be plastic hooks that secure the floor mats to the floor. If you have the hooks then you should be able to use them to secure the WeatherTech floor liners to the drivers side floor. If you don't have the hooks you should be able to purchase them at your local Toyota dealer or online.
I bought a set of the Toyota 4Runner all weather mats and really liked them. I paid $100. However after a while I noticed the ribs on there has worn to where water was leaking through and I didn't notice it or see it until I felt the wet carpet. I thought something was leaking until I help the mats up to the light and could see the wear at the top edge of the ribs.
I purchased the Weathertech floor liners for the front since my back Toyota mats were fine since they never get used. I love these liners and it was worth the $100 I paid for them..... well worth it !

Weathertech makes the best mats on the market. They cost the most, but you get what you pay for. My truck's carpeting is grey so I ordered grey mats. The only problem is that after three years I have a few visible stains. I'm thinking of ordering new ones in black, which will match my door trim and dashboard.
The quality mats save the carpet so they are well worth it. Otherwise your floor starts to look really beat.

Not sure if anyone mentioned this... but the little plastic floor mat retaining hooks tend to get lost a lot. Just go to the dealership and ask for a new set for your vehicle you should only need one pair.
They shouldn't charge you for them since its part of their saftey campaign, I know at our dealership we give them free as per what Toyota tells us to do.

Since Weathertech is so well fit what's the point of hooks?
I removed the hooks and plugged the holes with rubber stoppers. The kind of snow and slush we get here; the water overflows over the holes onto the carpet so I removed and plugged them, works great!

Yeah, I really like that about the husky's. I also like that its a big tray so it holds everythng. But the weathertechs look REALLY nice, and I like that the lip covers the door sill. Since my Husky doesn't that crack where the trim meets the carpet can get dirt and sand on it.
The fit is absolutely perfect. It is almost like having a pan to catch water, melted ice and snow,etc.
I guess you could call them "plastic like", in that they are very, very rigid. IMO this is a good thing as they wont flex all over the place and drop crud when you remove the weathertech floorliner for cleaning.
