Am I wrong for lusting after this (especially because we won't see it in the US)?

Bad thing is it's a Rover, odds are you'll become really good friends with the repair shop.

My neighbor has a 2 door Defender soft top and it is impressive. Great look and capabilities but the $$ for a truck that is so finicky.

LIke most Land Rovers, it does look very cool and distinctive. Reminds me a little about Mercedes G series SUV.

At Land Rover they call that part of the "ownership experience" Hah!

My '89 Range Rover was reliable but admittedly much less complex than a LR3 (much less to go wrong). No ABS, No Air Suspension, No traction control, No airbags. Had 140K when sold and was still going strong.

Toyota's engineering for real life makes it a superior product. Now if they'd just give us back a manual and diesel engine I'd be in hog heaven.

nooooooo...let me add you to the list (getting long these days) of people who don't like the box look...my parents and wife would be happy someone has joined their side!

Some vehicles can pull off the box look , (God I hate to say this ) the G wagon , the LR look ok to me , but look at the Hummer H2 , how can anyone think it's stylish.

I like more of a squared off look (not that square) than I do the rounded look , probably why I like the look of the 3rd gens more than the forth.

Look how good the Scion sold and that nook had no style ! A shoebox with 4 wheels. The new Ford Flex also very box like and the Jeep Rubicon / X ect.. , maybe that style is returning ? I think it looks more rugged. I would like to see the market lean more to the square side than the rounded futuristic space plastic molded looking stuff. Just my personal opinion.

I have always like the Rover look and I like the G very much. The Rove is great in SF going up and down streets looks stately and the G even more so. The G says "I'm cool let's play". The Rover says, my lip is stiff, see you at the garage"

I think it's really good looking too; my friend had his '97 stolen right out of his driveway in Atlanta.
