ford fix for toyota driveline clunk?

Toyota PTFE Teflon Driveshaft Slip Yoke Grease Lubricant Lube Ford Motorcraft XG-8 (ML1167/31508-42027)

FYI, I did have the Lexus TSB done on my 2005 4R about 3 years ago...it did help significantly, but it never went 100% away. YMMV.

This above link is interesting because I know from my dad's '98 Ranger...Fords can have really bad driveline clunk...stopping, starting, turning, looking at it funny, etc. Their TSB is to use a special grease (not sure if same as above) on the slip yoke.

Just wondering...can this grease be used on the sunroof rails???

So. The solution to the driveline clunk, continues to be grease? And the fact that it is made by Ford, suggests to me, that many other SUV/Truck vehicles might encounter this and that, just maybe, it isn't a huge issue.

Nice find! Too bad it does not come in an actual grease tube for grease guns.

I have some of that in my garage for my F250, might give it a try.

if its just the fact that it contains PTFE, there are a few greases that contain it, & can be used in grease guns, alot of marine greases do, Grease, Marine Grade, 2-4-C Multi-Purpose with Teflon 14 oz Lubricants and Grease Guns , dupont heavy equipment grease, DuPont? Teflon? Greases, even slick 50 0ne lube has it, wonder if these would work as well,

I have used the DuPont Teflon grease, and I can confirm that it reduces the severity and the frequency of the clunk. However it does not eliminate it completely.
