Found good price on Tundra Bilstein 5100's

Just an FYI for anyone considering getting these - Autoplicity.com has the adjustable Bilstein 5100's for the Tundra (P/N BIL-24188265) on sale right now for $86.23 a peice. That's 172.46 total.

UPS ground shipping runs about $10 to $15 depending on where you are at. I found coupon code 30offshipping that will take (of course) 30% off your shipping. I got a my set for 181.34 shipped to my door. That's $20 cheaper than anywhere else I have seen. One weird thing though... the picture on their website isn't the right one. I called to verify that I was actually recieving the correct part and the guy told me the pic was a generic one and that that part number was indeed the ride height adjustables for front Toyota applications.

Recently, I put this exact set on my '01 Sequoia and like them very much. They're at the top notch but still ride well. I'm not affiliated with these guys in any way, just trying to help some of you guys out trying to lift your rig (like me). As always, *buy at your own risk*

I'm going to noob this up now, but will Tundra 5100s be stiffer then the Tacomas?


I have stock suspension now but I'm looking to give it a little lift while improving ride quality on bumpy fire roads going to trail heads, and I'm not sure what to look at.

It will be a bit stiffer due to the valving. I wouldn't worry about it too much though and the extra setting are nice.

Agreed.

I looked into how much the Taco struts would be but didn't see them listed on the site. From all my searching, it seems there have been more that were happy with the Tundra valving as opposed to the Taco valving. As always, though, it comes down to personal preference.

I had the tundra ones mated up with toytec 3" springs (check my sig). next time, i think i might try the taco ones. I did really like the ride, but it did have a truck feel. I know i'll get blasted for this, but i'm going to try to get as close to floating like a cadilac on my new truck. i know i won't get there, but i can make it feel softer than before.

with the tundra shocks, the rear would feel a lot softer than the front going over shocks. however this could be the toytec springs that made it feel that way.

This is what I'm looking to do aswell. Whats your suggestion? I was thinking OME 883 and LC 7 wraps with Eibach5100s

well the 883's are for a bunch of front end weight... definately won't give you a cadilac feel. might feel alright if you have a steel bumper + winch.

the 881's are the softest but you'll need a top plate spacer to give a 3"

i haven't really researched it yet, as maintenance comes before mods. i want to start with a clean problem free plattform
