Freakin noisy sunroof

Anyone else have this problem/know a solution? When my sunroof is open (slid back, not popped up) it has this SUPER annoying consistent squeak with every little bump in the road.

You would think the solution would be to apply a little grease to the tracks, if I put pressure up or down on it, it stops. But before I go slathering grease on it I figured I'd check here. It's that or a trip to the dealer... Which just seems stupid for this.

Mine does the same but only when open half way, I was thinking about taking it to the dealer too, I'll wait until you go and see what they say.

Could it possibly be the spring activated deflector moving over the bumps? Have not noticed it, but after examining the construction this could be a culprit.

My noise seems to be coming from the sunroof itself, when I hold the sunroof it stops, the spring on the deflector is pretty tight to me

Mine does it too. Both with the pop up and the roof slid back. I think more so with it open though.

Mine makes the same noise when its popped up. Annoying as hell. Just another annoying squeek / crack / pop / rattle / creak that I live with... I have had ALOT of vehicles and never had a vehicle that had this many annoying noises.

Lol have you ever owned a Wrangler? My 4Runner is a library inside compared to the jeep. And it was a 2008 wrangler, not even an old one

Mine does not squeak, but it has a tick. It ticks at every bump in any position except the closed position. Extremely annoying.

Wade Vent Visors

I hardly notice the sunroof noise anymore :wow:
